Wayback Everywhere: Automatically Redirect Pages to Internet Archive
Wayback Everywhere is a browser extension/addon that automatically redirects all pages to Internet Archive's Wayback Machine, except for the sites in the Excludes List. With this addon, you can easily access archived versions of webpages and explore their historical content.
One of the main features of Wayback Everywhere is its Popup menu, which allows users to add or remove sites from the Excludes List, temporarily disable the addon, and access the Settings and Help pages. The addon also has the ability to automatically detect Wayback Machine site's error messages and take appropriate actions. For example, when the Wayback Machine site throws an error message indicating that a page is available on the web, the addon automatically loads the save page URL in the Wayback Machine. Similarly, when the site throws an error message indicating that it cannot load a page due to exclusion from Wayback Machine, the addon adds the site to the Excludes List and loads the live webpage.
The Settings page of Wayback Everywhere allows users to manage the Excludes List, add or remove sites manually, and perform a factory reset if needed. Users can also enable console logging if they are interested in viewing system logs.
Overall, Wayback Everywhere is a useful addon for those who want to explore the archived versions of webpages and have more control over their browsing experience.
